ProPak Asia 2013, the region’s leading international food, drink and pharma processing and packaging trade event opens today. High quality and quantity trade buyers are expected over the 4 show days as ProPak Asia once again records its Biggest-Ever event. ProPak Asia 2013 has expanded to all 6 halls and over 40,000sqm at BITEC, Bangkok, Thailand.


ProPak Asia 2013 showcased over 1,800 participants from 41 countries, 12 international pavilions from 10 countries including China, France, Germany, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Spain, Taiwan, UK and the USA, over 3,600 machines from across the world, all presenting the latest technology, innovation and solutions right here in the heart of Asia.

With Thailand's strong economic fundamentals and leadership position in the regional food and drink industries, 2013 exports are forecasted to increase 7-7.5% with approx. value US$246 billion. Thailand’s GDP increased 5.3% year-on-year first quarter of 2013. With these and more positive factors combining and with the realisation of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015 they make Thailand the perfect hub to set-up operations and access the region.

Highlights of the 2013 edition include 5 dedicated zones DrinkTechAsia, Lab&TestAsia, PharmaTechAsia, PlasTechAsia and PrintTechAsia, and 2 new feature areas launched this year include Warehousing & Logistics and Packaging Materials. There will be over 150 new products launched at ProPak Asia 2013 including Thailand, ASEAN and Global launches.
