The 86th UFI Global Congress – ‘Platforms of Trust’

Hosted by the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), together with its industry partners – Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), Thai Exhibition Association (TEA), Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA), Thai Hotels Association (THA), and Bangkok River Partners – the 86th UFI Global Congress will be held at AVANI+ Riverside Bangkok Hotel from 6-9 November 2019.

The UFI Global Congress is considered the exhibition industry’s largest global meeting of the year and combines international networking opportunities with unique content, as well as opportunities to gain insight into topics of strategic interest into the current trends and challenges the industry currently faces.

This year, the Global Congress will focus on the topic ‘Platforms of Trust’, one of the key drivers behind the global exhibition industry, and feature Thailand as a trustworthy destination by providing business opportunity programs and match-making sessions with local industry professionals. The ‘Platforms of Trust’ emphasizes that trustworthiness is key to the entire exhibition value chain, covering exhibition platforms, marketplaces, service providers, venues, and partners.


Special Events

Thai Town – showcases Thailand as a destination for the industry, whereby, overseas delegates can meet representatives of the TCEB and find out how the bureau can be their partner for success. Delegates can also converse with TEA members who are ready to introduce them to Thai service providers. Meanwhile, Thai MICE Cities booths will highlight how the infrastructure and facilities in emerging destinations can accommodate trade shows.

Focus on Thailand – presents business opportunities in Thailand by two high-profile speakers showcasing their experiences in collaborating with Thai companies in staging international trade shows in the country.

Speed Dating – organized under a ‘Follow Focus’ concept that will allow UFI members to meet 10 event organizers in Thailand and explore ideas of collaboration, connection, shared objectives, and the possibilities of co-organizing and co-locating future trade shows.
