Coffee is more than a beverage. The Coffee is a shared space that connects growers, baristas, drinkers, and changemakers alike. Over the past decade, we’ve witnessed how coffee can restore forests, empower communities, support local economies, and inspire creativity, all through one humble bean.

We have met farmers who grow coffee under the shade of large trees to restore the forests they’ve lived in since birth. We’ve met groups of women who have come together to create stable livelihoods in highland communities. We’ve seen young people return home, bringing with them new knowledge to transform their parents’ coffee farms into community-based businesses. And we’ve witnessed city dwellers turn used coffee grounds into soap, art, and household items-leaving nothing behind as waste.

Over the past 10 years of journeying through the world of coffee, we’ve come to see that coffee is more than just a beautiful drink in a cup. It is the result of layers upon layers of intention, intricately and beautifully woven together. And when we drink coffee with an understanding of its origins, we are helping to drive something forward-alongside all those who make it possible.
