THAILAND EXHIBITION INDUSTRY CONTINUES TO STRENGTHEN BUSINESS TIES IN CHINA

China, Beijing and Shanghai – Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), the government agency tasked with promoting and developing Thailand’s MICE industry, recently organized TCEB Exhibitions Business Forum in Beijing and Shanghai to provide an update on the status of Thailand exhibition industry and introduce Chinese stakeholders to TCEB’s new marketing campaign.


Following the MOU among TCEB, Exhibition Department of CCPIT, and CCPIT Yunnan signed earlier this year, Thailand and China continue to strengthen its regional collaboration with corporate marketing campaign and government support policy celebrating their golden year of 40th anniversary of Thailand-China relationship. Chinese market has been Thailand’s top priority for the past decade with exhibitors and visitors ranked among the top 3 for exhibitions supported by TCEB in 2014.The roadshow to Beijing and Shanghai will open more doors for business opportunities with the official launch of Connect Businesses campaign designed specifically to tap on Chinese trade promoter such as associations/federations and MICE outbound travel agents to have a chance for matchmaking opportunities and network expansion among key stakeholders at exhibitions in Thailand.


With full implementation of AEC in the year 2015 and China’s “One Belt and One Road” initiative that aims to connect Europe, Middle East, and Asia for strategic growth and common prosperity, Thailand plays a significant role as the gateway to ASEAN and Greater Mekong Sub-region with national highlight industries including Food and Agriculture, Automotive, Energy, Infrastructure, and Health and Wellness making it an attractive market for Chinese stakeholders to participate in international trade shows and establish long-term business growth from Thailand exhibition platform.
