Mr. Nopparat Maythaveekulchai, TCEB President, disclosed that, “TCEB’s direction on MICE business promotion in the fiscal year 2016 will focus in making Thailand soar as a high quality MICE destination with sustainability. Emphasising in growing as the region’s first-rate MICE market to serve the AEC integration at the end of 2015, capabilities of all parties related to the whole system of Thai MICE will be strengthened, side by side with empowering Thailand to fly high as the Top of Mind for Asian MICE industry. As a result, one of our key marketing strategies has embraced attracting large-scale MICE events into Thailand, including premium MICE events being organised by foreign media, along with the implementation of brand campaign THAILAND CONNECT… Our Heart, Your World”.

Collaboration with foreign media will enable our country to mobilise Thai MICE industry in 3 aspects as follows: firstly, ‘Building Thailand’s image as a quality MICE destination’ through the holding of business events and promotional activities of the press; secondly, ‘Establishing international partnership’ to promote Thai MICE toward global market, and lastly, the ‘Creating knowledge transfer’ including economic, politics and social issues, to reflect our leadership on a regional level.

Mr. Nopparat Maythaveekulchai, TCEB President, further said that, “Early in the fiscal year 2016 will see TCEB draw media conferences of global scale into Thailand. These events are calling quality business travellers from across the region to Thailand. The first event to note is the 14th CNBC Asia Business Leader Award 2015 held by the world’s leading TV channel ‘CNBC’ which will feature its 14th award presentation for Asian business leaders for 2015. Another prominent event to note will be the ‘Bloomberg ASEAN Business Summit 2015’ held by Bloomberg, a business and financial live television network airing in several countries worldwide. The symposium will feature seminars on the advancement of Asia and the brainstorming on economic issues, as well as business risks which may arise from the AEC integration. Totally, there will be 300 international business leaders joining in the event held during 3-4 December 2015 at Siam Kempinski Hotel Bangkok.

“The attendance of international business leaders to both events will enhance the image of Thailand as the hub of MICE of ASEAN, emphasising Thailand’s leadership in MICE on a regional level, which will correspond to the AEC integration at the end of 2015. Additionally, the currently-running brand campaign ‘Thailand CONNECT… Our Heart, Your World’ is designed to highlight Thailand as a unique destination, as well as the hub of business events of ASEAN and the hub of advancement in MICE well armed with service-minded professionals. All of the aforementioned are the essential foundation of Thailand that attendees will be able to learn from the holding of media conferences of a global scale.” concluded Mr. Nopparat.
